    I believe that the Long Range M118 round is 175gr. with a Sierra Match King bullet, as opposed to to the M118 which is 173gr. and I believe that it's not open tip. I am sure that DocGKR can clarify that.

    i have some XM118 lake city and some XM118LR PD, the XM118LR PD is mixed years on the brass, loaded from excess brass but it is loaded at the same time and is consistant, but doesn't shoot any different for me as the regular XM118, BUT....i suck and only have a 200yd range....and i can't shoot worth a crap, but i have it!
