The 62 grain TAP barrier load does not have a bonded bullet and its performance after auto-glass pales in comparison to true bonded bullets like the 64 grain Gold Dot or 62 grain TBBC. While the Gold Dot and TBBC will penetrate 14"-16" after auto-glass when fired from a 16" barreled AR-15, the 62 grain TAP load only penetrates 6". Even the Hornady 75 grain 5.56 TAP load with its OTM bullet will penetrate slightly farther than that after auto-glass and of course still have far superior terminal ballistic properties in bare gelatin.
