    A1 stock on AR10 lower

I have a complete Armalite AR10 lower with the A2 stock on it. Can I pull it off and replace it with a Cav Arms A1 stock? Wasn't sure if the buffer tubes were the same as 556.

The rifle buffer tube is the same, the carbine tube is longer for an AR-10 than an AR-15.

Something else to consider...a carbine tube/stock.

I only mention that since I am "gravity" challenged and even when my unit went from M16A1s to A2s, that extra pull was tough on my 5'6" frame. You see how much longer the AR10 receiver is, well...an adjustable carbine stock really helps. If you go aftermarket(not Armalite) you can get an appropriate short and heavy buffer from "Slash" who posts adds on Sturmgewehr.
