    S&W Model 386 Night Guard - .357MAG

    Anyone know anything about this revolver,good or bad ? Although I havent had an interest in revolvers in some time,I wouldnt mind getting one of these.

    It looks like a nice concept but I am not a fan of lightweight revolvers.

    I would definitely find a way to shoot that one with full 357 mag. loads before making the purchase, then you will find out why I don't like them.

    It's a nice concept, not too far from the old Model 12, which was one of the best carry revolvers ever made.

    No need to carry it with .357 ammo just because it's chambered for it. When I carry my Model 66 I carry it with .38+p LHP, a very proven and effective round.

    The 386 needs to have the hammer spur removed, like any carry revolver.
    It's only an "arm's length" gun if you're incompetent.

    I figured the recoil would be severe with mag loads.I would carry mag loads and shoot lighter stuff. I was just wondering what was thought of the revovler itself.
