    Gas block on LR 308

I've got about 1000 rounds through my LR 308. So far it has ran perfectly except for one thing. The allen screws that hold the gas block on backed out.

Is there a fix for this? Or am I just going to have to keep an allen wrench in the MIAD grip?

Rocksett and dimple at least one into the barrel a little.

If it were mine I replace the gas block with a steel or stainless steel on and pin it.

The bbl already has two dimples in it. No rockset though. Who makes a good replacement block?

I'd go with a PRI gas block.

Interesting take on pinned vs. compression fit gas blocks for precision work:

Interesting indeed. FWIW I've built upper that shoot 1/4MOA with pinned gas blocks so it's all really just relative.

I looked at the PRI gas blocks. Unless I'm missing something, they seem to use two allen screws as well.

Where can I find a good compression fit gas block for a bull bbl 308 AR?

With a milling machine, you can mill and drill then pin them.

I've seen some guys stake the screws.
