If you consider the M&P Pro and option, get one. It has a great trigger and shoots dead on. Good luck with your decision.

I agree with one additional comment.

While rare, I have personally blown out the breach face on a G34 (newer slide) and broken the striker on an older G17 with large amounts of dry fire. That being said...GLOCK replaced my slide, no questions asked and they are still my first choice.

The 17 had approximately 40k rounds through it and an additional 150k or so "rounds" of dry fire.

the 34 had 10-12k rounds through it and 25k "rounds" of dry fire.

I work them pretty hard, so I have no complaints.
