    Thread Protector

Hi everyone. I'm installing a thread protector on my AR15 to be NJ compliant and I wasn't sure if i should have a washer on it as well. Also crush or peel? Thanks for the help.

If it's just a thread protector, I don't think it really matters if you have a washer on it or not. I'm not sure of NJ laws but I know handguns can't have threaded barrels. If you put the thread protector on won't it have to be permanently attached?

It works by how many "evil" features you have on the gun. AR15 has pistol grip and mag so it can't have anything else it would normally. So yes I'm permanently mounting it.
