I did end up grabbing up a pair of these, and yes they appear to be just MOD1 guns with the NT4 FH and laser etching. Mine show some very minimal use that could be as simple as validating process. The throats on mine are very sharp, but mine is a sample of 2 only.
With that though, I still have a an excess of the regular MOD1 uppers that I do like, but I like the MOD2 MLOK better now. I don't regret getting them by any means, but at this point I'm not really sure that they would get any use anytime soon.

The 3.1 is my favorite handguard. I just love the way it looks and I think it's pretty functional while also being durable.

I have a 16" MOD 1 and I've been passively searching for a 11.5" to match the 16".

Nice stick. Why don't you buy a mod 2 and put a 3.1 on it. Get the best of both worlds if you like the 3.1 with Mod 2 gas.

I wholeheartedly agree! The URX 3.1 MOD 1 rifles are my favorite. I recently purchased a MOD 1 CQB 11.5" rifle that had been sitting at my dealer for well over two years. I'd like to get my hands on a MOD 1 LPR to round out the collection.

I purchased a Knight's Armament 5.56 QDC CQB suppressor from AV Guns on Tuesday, the F3 was approved on Wednesday, and I received it at my dealer this morning. That's the fastest F3 approval I've had to date. Once the F3 on my SR-15 MOD 1 CQB is approved, I will toss the QDC CQB on that. I have a full size QDC en route for my 16" MOD 1.

Last and but not least, I finally got my hands on my first Triple Tap. I paid through the nose, but I am happy to finally have one. I am installing it on my Legacy 16" rifle. Which was the very first firearm that I purchased back in January of 2012.
