You gotta have variety - even it it's only the rail on the KAC 14.5s. I'll be switching out the MAMS soon for a surefire FH so I can use the suppressor.

I'm presuming that 14.5" w/ MAMS is an SBR and not pinned to 16"; allowing you to install the URX4?

Good eye. The 14.5 with the URX 4 has the GDI mount. I've had it since July and I really like it. It's very sold and return to zero is perfect or at least within the T1 2 MOA. Plus it doesn't chew up the upper. That said, I would take a long look at the BOBRO. It's about $60 cheaper and I really like the design, but I don't have nearly as much time with it. However, in a couple of months I suspect I will probably like the BOBRO better. Love the fact that the screws are built into the BOBRO but the GDI's coyote fabric packaging (which I don't use) is very cool.

Everyone wanted the SR-16 FH. I received some insane offers for it because they never released commercially. Interestingly however, it does not work with new KAC QDC suppressors. It has a slightly larger diameter than a MAMS. Robb Jensen measured the two when he was in installing the MAMS, which was a hair smaller. Unfortunately, a new house and string of bad luck necessitated that I part with the upper. I really liked the FH. I really couldn't tell the difference between it and the MAMS on the SR16 although that was probably just me.

You sold that upper?! Hate to hear that man. Where was it listed? I probably need to pay closer attention to the EE.

There was an 11.5" SR16 CQB upper in the EE not long ago as well. When I finally decided to commit funds to it, it sold. Color me pissed at myself for dragging my feet. Seriously thinking about offloading my MOD 1 upper for the 14.5" Carbine upper though...

Yes. The one above is pinned so I don't have to do a 5320.20 with ATF when I cross state lines. That's why everyone should have two KAC 14.5 uppers

We'll say yes to the question re KAC. To be clear, this is not the KAC FH which is does work as an attachment to the QDC suppressors.

I know that several KAC dealers have been invoiced for 762 QDCs, which means they are in form 3 process. I put some $$ on one about 2 wks ago and I haven't heard back so the suppressors have not physically arrived. Don't know anything about the 556 QDCs. I've already got surefire cans.

It was never listed. More or less a standing offer for the complete upper. Needless to say, it was a very quick transaction.

I tried to sell the KAC 11.5 CQB upper first but no luck. I miss the medium contour dimpled barrel, URX 3 midlength rail (KAC really should release that commercially best 10.75 rail in existence). KAC really should start selling the 11.5 CQB with the SR16 barrel. As you know well (with your Christmas Cheer barrel). Those barrels are fantastic, especially running suppressor.

Only available to 50 and had to be in from the beginning (2008?). Mtdawg may know the specifics but I don't think a member of the OG is permitted to disclose any info.
