We are very close in size, I'm 5'10, 155 with a 40" Chest. I have been running a medium APC with medium Paraclete SOF plates and backers for 2 years now. The rig has been through several rifle classes, in and out or trucks and on many long hikes in the 8000 to 10,000 foot elevation range. I like the ability with the swift clips to drop my chest rig or quickly change from a 5.56 load to a 7.62 load out. The rig carries well on it's own, but late last year I added in a Crye blast belt with the STKSS and this differently improved how the whole system carries. Along with this addition it removed a lot of stress from my lower back, which was my goal, as I have 2 herniated lumbar disks. All in all this system is comfortable to wear for days on end and not kick the crap out of my back.
Down sides. The top of the front plate will chafe the top of my sternum . I have thought about adding 2 small foam floats to either side of the front plate to fix this, but I have not gotten around to it. It is just a very minor annoyance for me. This could be caused by a sharp curve at the top of my plates. Going with an aramid backers may also reduce this problem as IMHO aramid vests are more squishy for lack of a better term than laminates. Or not using a shirt with a zip front fixes this issue for me as well.
I would buy this plate carrier again, with out hesitation.

"Warriors"
Out of every 100 men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets. Nine are the real fighters and we are lucky to have them for they make the battle. Ah, but the one...one is a Warrior, and he will bring all the others back.

Fairly certain that is red.
