Might be too early to draw any conclusions. However, HK has a pretty solid reputation for design and quality, and they're certainly not new to the polymer handgun field.
I have about 1500 rounds through mine without a problem, FWIW.

I would've loved to pick up a VP9 this summer but of course there are none in Canada...and I've heard that it'll be a year or more until they arrive. So, I consoled myself with this guy for now.
