Are you using a hosting site such as photobucket or shutterfly? They have an option for link codes that you can copy and paste directly. Your other option would be to put html tags around the URL to where the picture is hosted. It looks like this:
[img]examplepictureurl.com[/img]

You have to have the image hosted online so as each user loads this page the page knows where to find the image to display for them. No way that a forum can display images on individual users PCs. Find a free online hosting site (NOT imgur) and then upload the image and then you use that link to post here or other forums.
