POF P-308, Is This Good Kit?

Before anyone jumps on me about a thread on this being somewhere, else, yes I used the search function and no, I did not see one on this specific topic.

I am wondering how good the POF P-308 is. They sure as hell look good. Are they as good as the DPMS LR-308 everyone seems to agree is a good rifle? Or, are they even better? Obviously they are Piston-run since they are POF. Is there any problems with BCG tilt, etc? I like the chromed interior of the POF uppers.

I too have been looking at POF. I however got scared away by reading posts in the industry section for POF at AR15.com Sounds like there is a long wait, unless you get one at Cabelas and they appear to be having some major quality issues.

From pictures that I have seen, carrier tip wear on the receiver extension is pretty bad. I really liked these rifles as well. Look like a well finished product. To date, I haven't seen a piston system that didn't exhibit some manner of carrier tip wear. PWS has a long stroke piston which eliminates the piston/carrier pivot point at the carrier key. I'd like to see how these do.
