    SCAR Fielding/Deployment

Just as an update to all who are interested:

I have been on the road for the last 7 months feidling the SCAR Family (MK16/MK17/MK13 w/ all barrels and trigger modules) throughout SOCOM. I will not give spec's on Unit details, but I will let you know that it is going well, actually VERY well and I’m happy to see things in a great place now. Yes, many have already been deployed overseas, and some have seen some in footage on Fox News and some other sources. There are a few developments on the horizon with SCAR that cannot be discussed here but still full speed ahead.

    Wondered where you dissappeared to.
My brother saw Deliverance and bought a Bow. I saw Deliverance and bought an AR-15.

I had the chance to fondle one at NTOA and was walked through the field stripping of it. I was very impressed. Honestly, moreso than I thought I would be. There is definitely a lot of thought that went into designing it. I only wish I'd had the chance to live fire it.

    Congrats on the fielding!

Thanks for the note, I saw my second example at a recent gun show. I wish they were not so expensive, I would then look more into getting one. Keep us posted on new developments, thanks again.

Not a flame but an observation:

I still call the SCAR vapor wear until I see them showing up in SF GRP arms rooms en mass.

Again, not a flame but I sort of feel like I have seen this show before with the XM8 and HK416. Yeah, they went to a few units then they went away....

So because it hasn't made it to your armory, it's vaporware? I'm assuming you're SF.

I do believe there's public information available showing purchase orders but I could be wrong.
