I've got a Gewehr Werks build AKS-74 and have to add that the sidefolder does really turn the gun into something far different than any fixed stock gun. Easier to stow or transport, and lighter.

With the stock extended I can shoot it about as well as a fixed stock gun. Only marginally less comfortable.

    And don't forget style points.

NK, great report and nice shooting Glad to hear you are enjoying your new rifle.

Im sure some of the guys will chime in and give you some tips about sighting the rifle, particularly if you are zeroing at a short distance.

You will also need to give your rifle a girls name, as per military tradition.

I would be stocking up on some decent ammo at the relatively good prices available now. The future of ammo prices Im afraid is going only in one direction.

Okay I'll call mine Natalia, named after Natalie Wood.
