Sturmgewehr 44. How much? What to look for?

    Hey guys,

I am thinking about picking up another MG. I have a nice M16 and a Mac-10 so I am thinking a STG-44 might be in order. Any tips on how much I should pay? This is a collectible, and is unlikely to be shot more than once or twice.

It looks like it is time to sell off a bunch of crap to fund this!

I just saw one in Roy, Utah at Impact Guns about two weeks ago. Didn't think to check the price tag on it though. I'll check with them when I have some time. It appeared to be in pretty good shape. (didn't get to put my greasy fingers on it though)

    Sorry, it's actually an MP43, not a 44.

Be sure you're not looking at a re-weld, there are more than a few out there.

The last one I looked at was about 18-20K, and ammo is a dollar + a round. Good luck!

I saw one for sale at a show here in VA this past Sunday. $21,400 I believe the price was.
