Experience with a Glock thumb rest?

Just surfing the interwebs and found this. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I was staying in a hotel and I asked for a wake up call. The next morning the phone rang... a voice said "What are you doing with your life?"

    I'm up.

I've never used one or even seen one before. But from the photos, it looks like it would actually force your hand lower on the gun which as a general rule is worse for controlling muzzle flip.

The wider contact point at the web of the thumb provided by this device would spread the recoil force out more and could therefor make for less felt recoil but that isn't the same thing as muzzle flip and definitely isn't the same thing as "faster."
