I’m proposing that we make a sticky thread of the ACR specs TO BE DETERMINED AT THE SHOT SHOW. We’ve all heard, read, seen, talked to this person, that person this magazine etc. that has given us preliminary specs. The fact is we will not factually know this till shot (and dang hopefully not after). I would like the sticky to be strictly factual, and for questions, and void of complaints and comments. A quick go to for everyone, since I’m pretty sure that every individual legally qualified to by a rifle wants this thing. Adding pics will be awesome!!

Here’s a start of the info I think we’ll want to know:

Upper
- What grade aluminum is the upper made of?
- What is the Bolt/Bolt Carrier made of? Heat-treated?
- How many lugs on the bolt?
- Is the Ejector AR style, on the bolt face?
- What is the Extractor made of? Heat-treated?
- Is the Firing Pin spring-loaded?
- Firing Pin chromed?
- Are the springs stainless steel? If not, what are they made of?
- Are the rails 1913?
- Does it come with Sights? Which ones?
- Interchangeable barrels? How?
- Is the upper the part with the serial numbers?
- Is the charging handle interchangeable/ambi?
- Where is the charging handle?
- Is the handle angled to avoid knuckle slap (w/ optics)?
- Colors? (FDE, Black, OD Green, Ferrari Red, etc.)


Barrel / Piston System
- What steel is the barrel made of? Chromed? Nitrided (yes, I seriously doubt it)?
- Twist rate? Options?
- Barrel options, in length and weight?
- What flash hider comes standard? Options?
- M4 Feed Ramps? If not, what feed ramps?
- 5.56 chamber?
- What is the barrel life? Number of rounds?
- Different calibers?
- Multiple gas settings?
- What is the gas piston & block made off? Melonite treatment? Heat treatment?
- Is the gas block pinned or bolted?
- What is the piston spring made of?
- How does the piston interface w/ the bolt carrier group?


Lower
- Will Magpul make the lowers?
- Is there an “AK Style” lower forthcoming?
- Is the lower the part with the serial numbers?
- Any magazines that are not recommended for use?
- How does the upper latch into the lower?
- Are the pins that hold the upper and lower together metal or polymer?
- What is the standard trigger pull?
- Are there any polymer trigger components?
- Are the trigger components interchangeable w/ ARs?
- Is or will a match trigger be available?
- Interchangeable grips?
- Where is the bolt release button/latch? Is it ambi?
- Is the bolt release button/latch polymer or metal?
- Colors?


Stocks- Stock options?
- Fixed stock LOP?
- Fixed stock adjustable cheek weld heights?
- Adjustable stock LOPs?
- Adjustable stock adjustable cheek weld heights?
- Will folding stock lock when folded?
- What type and thickness of rubber butt pad?


Overall
- Overall length (w and w/o folding stock/adjustable stock)
- Overall weight (w and w/o loaded 30 rd. mag)
