As much as I want see the new rifle - I dont see the above being likely, as those guns will be select fire and that really pesky 86 Machine gun ban throws that idea to the trash - unless they do a whole new lower for civilian sale - which will not work if there is a ban.
I would hold out for a civilian release whenever the bugs are out of the gun.

Kevin,
Correct me if im wrong but isnt the upper on this particular firearm the serialized part?
I may be TOTALLY off here i just could have sworn i remembered hearing that somewhere.
You may be right (admittedly I dont have much hands on with the Massada/ACR) - so that would make the upper the MG - I guess screwed either way on that issue.

fwiw the upper is the firearm..
Kevin and Derek.
Quick question.
If the upper is the serialized part why would it be marked as a machine gun when the fire control group determines its ability to be select fire?
Sorry, i know this delves into the realm of NFA and im sure the answer is there but since this applies to the ACR i figured i would ask.
I don't post that often, but this is worth it...
THANK YOU!
Work would not let me go this year, so your pics are the next best thing to being there. Thanks for the valuable work you do to document the newest/greatest guns and gear!

hey SMGlee,
do you have anymore pictures of the 16" LMT Piston rifle that you can post?
Is that some kind of additional magnifier installed on the Elcan?
no, its the new 1.5-6x version.
