So I went out and shot my new KAC 11.5” today. I put about 250 rounds or so of American Eagle 223 through the gun. About 80-90% of the brass ejected at the 3:00 position, a few went 2:00, and some were at 4:00. And flew about 7-8 feet away. Is my gun overgassed? This is with 223 caliber, I’d imagine the problem would be exacerbated with regular 5.56. Is this going to be an issue over time? Is this typical for 11.5” barrels? I am using Vltor A5 A5H2 buffer weight.
Other than this, my gun is functioning perfectly.
