Looking for a new flash suppressor, the one off the FN scar

Anyone know where one can pick one of these up? I called FN and they laughed at me when I asked to purchase one. I really did not see anything funny with the request.

Ok your question has two answers. First the Civilian version of the FN SCAR models I have seen come with the FSC 556, the military models come with AAC Blackout suppressor mounts. So it depends on which one you are referring to.

    The FSC556 is available from www.primaryweapons.com it's $100.00
This is the same comp/flash hider that comes on the civilian versions of the SCAR.

What is your opinion on this comp/flash hider?

It's very good. It's almost effective as many competition type comps but suppresses flash very well too. It's well worth the money IMO however like other comps it is louder, not to the shooter but to person around the shooter.

It is good at what it is suppose to do, but it is the incorrect FH for the SCAR.

When I got my SCAR, I promptly removed the PWS hider that was violating it and installed the correct blackout.

I have no idea why FN chose to use this hider. They could have used an A2 and saved the purchaser of the SCAR $100 or used the correct blackout.

Agreed. I am not a fan of the PWS muzzle device. I would have been happy with an A2.

Why is it incorrect for the SCAR?
