it won't hurt to have a spare gas tube..they are cheap. I have one just in case..
get some springs, detents and gas rings...these are easier to wear out or loose

Gas tubes will many times wear at the gas key end and leak gas causing short stoking. This is typically because the barrel nut isn't aligned correctly (which shows up as a gas tube worn on one side). I usually replace my gas tubes about every 10K rounds, for my 3gun rifle and my 10.3" LMT (my training carbine) this ends up being about once a year.
