Have any of you tried the Arc'teryx Fusion Jacket? I have one and it seem well suited for my needs, you may want to check it out. JMO.

    87Seph,
I think your fundamental question is both valid and spot-on. That's really what the decision comes down to.

Now that I've read through all these pages I've noticed there is very little mention of Columbia jackets. I've had mine Ascender II Softshell from them for just about a year now and its held up very well. Its my go-to jacket since I hate wearing bulky coats if I'm not planning on standing out in the snow. I usually leave my Carhart winter jacket in my car and go about my business with this on in the Chicago winter. This has worked decently well. The only problem is its more of a windbreaker than a winter jacket when it gets a little colder (Yes, I know that is more of its purpose.)

Does anyone have any experience with the Columbia Key Three II Softshell? At 100$ on Amazon it isn't such a bad deal.
