Wife needs input, for political thread

You guys would know much better than me on how to respond to this, me not being military. My wife frequents a local newspaper site that always ends up in a political brawl, no matter how the comments start. She posted about how owebama is acting childish & so not presidential over the passing of the bill. And really, just about everything else he's done.. So here was the response of another poster.. I find this extremely offensive no matter what side of the isle you support.

No, what was despicable and not presidential was George Bush saying ''Bring em on!'' and going back to the safety of the White House while the soldiers you all admire were left to face the bullets and bombs Bush's bravado invited. He's retired. Tens of thousands of them were casualties.
Any input appreciated.. Also, if this is inappropriate please delete this post.

    Thanks, jmp45

    Pose a question:

"Okay, since you're on your high horse, tell me...when was the last time a serving President actively fought in a war?" (never)

Point out a inconsistency in Liberal arguments:

"If war in Iraq is so bad, why aren't you whining about Obama moving the war to Afghanistan?" (there's no logic to this)

    Make a joke about healthcare:

"Your comments threw my aura out of whack and my chi is sick. Since Obamacare passed, I'll be sending you the bill for my treatment."

Can you provide a link? I'd be happy to shut a few Libs up.

I wouldn't use this one, at least not with that answer.
President Madison briefly took command of an artillery battery in battle during the War of 1812.
    Now you know.

The thing of it is, the resolution for war in Iraq passed with near unanimous approval. It won't take more than a few seconds on youtube to find the likes of Hillary et al speaking about why we should be doing it. Today they try to paint the picture of how it was GWB pushing for war vs. everyone else resisting it when that really wasn't the case.

The only reason they are distancing themselves of it is because of pandering to their base of hippie peaceniks.

Libs like to use the war as a weapon against GWB because they have sepia toned images in their mind about pretending that they are in the 60's arguing against Nam.

I'd tell them its important for the troops to know the CINC is behind them, and is very supportive of what they are being sent there to do. Its not appropriate for the POTUS to be somewhere where there is great risk to his life, and he doesn't need to jump in the middle of a battle to prove anything. Its his job to send people not pick up a gun and go fight (unless it came to that).

I'm no longer AD but I know if I was I would not want a POTUS disparaging my efforts, and accusing us of bombing villages & killing civilians:
