    Honestly, my best advice for you is to buy a cheap airsoft gun and practice on that until you get something you like. That's what I did and it was the best thing I could have done. That way you will be ready for your actual rifle and not have "thick" parts, drips, or other unpleasant features.

    That sounds like a good plan for sure and I may end up there. That said if I can find someone artistically inclined that perhaps enjoys it along with as much beer as they need....that's my best option!

    Just paint it. Don't sweat it and don't be vain. If it blends with your environment, it's a win.

    I'm liking the cerakote Paint, on 223, really holds up. If you can find someone who will do it reasonable its the way to go.

    My rifle came with a cerakote finish. Any ideas on whether or not I need to do any special prep to it before hand? I put a new stand up last year that came unpainted and had to put what was essentially a metal primer coat on it or else the paint would just chip off. Even now the areas I didn't get it on just perfect the paint is flecking up.
