Proper Planing Prevents Piss Poor Performance.......
Rustoleum on the hand guard and receiver should be fine (similar to Krylon), but I have heard of rattle can paint flaking off the barrel due to heat (notice that I didn't paint my barrel). I chose Rustoleum/Krylon because is was cheap, easy to apply, and it is easier to touch up/change later on.
If you want your coat to last, duracoat or cerakote is a better option.

I love the worn look when the paint starts to chip off. Looks "battle proven" to me haha imo.

My first try at painting a firearm...
The mag was just in there to keep paint out. I'm going to paint a bunch of mags to match soon, after some other rail covers I ordered come in.
Didn't paint the pistol grip because I'm not sure it will stick - I'll play around with that on a different grip when I do the mags & rail covers.
