I love the way these guns in Patriot Brown look, I question how effective a camo is actually is though? I've rattled can my rifles several times. Found this video of Larry Vickers spraying a rifle, and just followed his directions. Most camo a black rifle because a black rifle sticks out. SO would a brown rifle stick out as well? I guess I want to go that route, but I also want an effective camo. For me, the effectivness is more important right now. No expecting any trouble or anything, just like to have form and function. What say the forum? Anybody have a pic of their Patriot Brown rifles blending into the environment. Thanks for the info
Earth tones, like brown and green, don't stick out in nature. It's not a matter of disappearing into the background, it's about breaking up the outline of the weapon to make it not look like a weapon. Under NODs, you'd be amazed at how well something as basic as a solid coat of tan camouflages an object.
I'll get a pic through NODs sometime tonight to show the difference between spray paint/tan anodizing/black.
