    I have a S&W M&P lower mated to a 6920 upper, its a milspec
extension/buffer tube, one of the main reasons I went with it.

I have heard most M&Ps have mil spec receiver extensions, including the M&P 15-22s, but according to http://store.magpul.com/downloads/Re...Comparison.pdf
my M&P 15 MOE is a commercial spec extension. I have that 2nd hole/position for the stock that the mil spec diagram doesn't show. I've never taken the stock off so I haven't checked the angle on the end of the tube. Some people haven't believed me when I said this before, so I may post a pic when I get home from work so you guys can correct me if I'm wrong.

A very quick Google search produced the below pictures. If you will look at your lower receiver extension and compare it to the below pictures it will more than answer your question.

So milspec extensions can have six positions? As much as I've looked it up, nobody has ever said that. Thanks, guys, have solved a riddle for me. I was about to go buy a caliper to figure it out once and for all.
