Great thread, people forget how far the platform has come in 50 years...
Picked up the '79 SP1 on Tues, my first oldie. Traded a DD V7lw for it. I made the mistake of showing the guy some optic choices and he lusted after a TR24 so tempted me beyond resisting with the second long rifle. It's a '93 Eagle Arms, pre-Armalite, 20" free float aluminum handguard. That it was a Karl Lewis design and probably the first SPR type, made it a must have. Got it today for the TRijicon and misc.
Found a Weaver mount for a Vortex 2.5-10x32.
