I got to say, I am impressed with the Rainier barrel. It just keeps shooting better. Very reliable set up. I've shot Wolf, xm193, Fed TRU 55 gr, A.E. 55 gr. and some green tip.
    All ran great.
What gets me is the gas port in the Rainier is only .056. Other 7.5" I've built had to have .078.
That makes for less crap in the receiver and should be less hard on the FCG.

Sure, 27 3/4" with the comp and stock fully extended.
    26 1/4 without the comp

I love mine. With the right ammunition like the Barnes all copper bullet, it's effective to 100 yards in my opinion. Lite weight, easy to manuever, and with a Levang or Noveske Pig, the blast heads down range. Still loud but tolerable to me.
It does create a Hell of a flash though.

I have a Draco AK pistol. I definitely need to get an AR pistol to complement it.

I was looking at these but the ".223 Wylde Chamber" scares me a little.
I'm wondering if your barrel shot the Wolf ammo better because it's .223 and not 5.56mm?

Glad you like it, I wish someone would make a quality 7.5" barrel in 4150 w/chrome lining. Seems like all the 7.5" barrels are all stainless steel.

I should have been more specific. I would prefer a 5.56 chamber in this type of setup, but I would also prefer a chrome-lined barrel. Maybe I'm just splitting hairs with the tolerances.

I have an 18" SPRish barrel with a Wylde chamber which I use for more accurate/slower rates of fire.
