    Cool

News has been too intense the past few days - time to mellow - with a brandy cocktail while I'm at it...

When I saw So Long, this is the song that first popped into my head.
Sorry if perhaps it isn't the best song for topical events.

"I don't collect guns anymore, I stockpile weapons for ****ing war." Chuck P.

"Some days you eat the bacon, and other days the bacon eats you." SeriousStudent

"Don't complain when after killing scores of women and children in a mall, a group of well armed men who train to shoot people like you in the face show up to say hello." WillBrink

It's gonna be one of those days...............

Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face.

Say what you will about the barking/lyrics, the guitar in this song is pretty legit. The picking ability of the guitarists is very good and the song is all over the place... from 210 bpm to 185, 200, back to 210. Just sayin'.

One of four discs from the John Williams Jurassic Park Collection. My copy is one of only five thousand that will ever be printed --and the four CD's are virtually every minute of music from the first two movies of the franchise.

Jon Williams is a genius. His scores for Jurassic Park, Star Wars, and Harry Potter (yea, that's right!) are very good. He also did Jaws; I'm sure there are others.

I really like the score to Harry Potter (I actually enjoyed the first movie). He did steal from himself a little as the little jingle is the same as Home Alone, but I guess it's not plagiarizing if you're taking it from yourself.

Hans Zimmer is another one of my favorites: Pirates of the Caribbean, Inception, Gladiator.... all fantastic.
