DPMS: A-15 Buttstock Extender on AR-15 Pistol

Has anyone every tried this on their ar15 pistol? I currently have the spikes pistol buffer tube.

    "Info:
An aluminum alloy extender inserts between the buttstock and the receiver adding 1" length to the buttstock. Can be used on A1 or A2 rifles. Anodized. Matte.

    Technical Information

    Material:Aluminum alloy, black solvent-resistant paint

    Notes:
    # Four pieces, including exposed spacer that matches the profile of the receiver and the stock, internal spacer to lengthen the buffer tube and two longer stock retaining screws to accommodate either the A-1 or the slightly longer A-2.
    # Adds 1" to the buttstock"

Can you define "Tried this", for what reason longer length? for the buffer/action spring assm.
I'd think it may defeat the purpose in some ways. I don't see away of using it on a pistol set up.
due to the butt stock ext. mounting over buffer tube and most of the pistol tubes I think are
slightly larger in diameter than even a civ tube. the part are to adjust LOP on regular stock as
you noted. i know the spikes tube I've got it would not fit over.
