    Work in progress...

You should recognize the builder by the style.

As stated, this is a work in progress. The builder was given a lot of latitude, being told the trigger, grip treatment, sights, and a few other things were to be a certain way, including an msh from my friend Stan "THE MAN". Other than that, artistic interpretation was encouraged, with the caveat that this is a to be a duty weapon. I could hear his smile over the phone! This has been a fun build on my end, because even though I have a very good grasp of the gunsmith's style, I didn't know what the gun would look like. Would there be ball cuts? French border? Flat top? Serrated? Even the final finish was left to the builder. Looking at the gun in the white, I am very excited.

When you and your gunsmith understand each other, cool things happen. Some things don't need to be said. Some things you just feel compelled to mention. I'll wait for final photos, before I go any further, but suffice it to say, that there is a reason I have loved this man's work for so long.

    Be well!

    Very nice!
If I had the money I would like to have several guns built by Rogers and a few others.

    Absolutely stunning 1911.

It looks like Mr. Rodgers is turning out another functional work of art.

    That's some superb looking work.

If it runs as good as it looks, you're in for a heck of a handgun!

    Dubb-1,

Is Rogers' accepting any work these days?

Or, is his list so long that it would be a waste of time to even pursue.

He is no longer accepting work. I got on his list years ago...
