Official Stippling Thread:Stippled PMAG's & Other Parts, let's see what you got!

Was messing around the other day with a wood burning tool and a PMAG.

Turned out pretty well and am going to do some different patterns soon (like golf balls).

Very nice sir. I'm curious since I really don't know much about stippling. Is a wood burner the best tool to use for this or are there other methods used?

Looks like a great way to build up some skill prior to touching a gun.

I am (currently) of the opinion that a wood burning tool is the best way to go.

    thopkins22, looks good.

If you have a digital camera, it should have a "flower" (AKA MACRO) setting on it. Switch to this setting for close up work. Outdoor lighting also helps a lot.

Great work so far on the pmags pal

I agree that a nice wood burning tool is hard to beat.....I like using a tip on a small hot glue gun to do larger areas that do not require as precision as other, more detailed areas are best suited for the wood burning tool.

Did my Pmags before attempting my M&P 40. I think it makes a difference to be honest and it's a cheap ass mod.

    Used this -

Only pic I have from a distance -

Good job on the stipple job Grant.

These are a couple designs. Medium and more aggressive textures. I do several designs, standard diimple, Reed, rice, etc. On pmags if you stipple too high the texture can hang up on many types of pouches. I prefer to only go as high as the middle pmag.
