Motivated by this thread, I picked up a cheap wood burner today to give this a shot. After a few practice runs on a junk TAPCO mag I've had lying around, I pulled out a PMAG and got to work.
Came out really good...definitely helps to do "circles" instead of straight lines back and forth, as someone mentioned above. Started getting a little light headed from the fumes but a tiny little table fan set up next to my work remedied that! The amount of grip it adds is outstanding too. Looking forward to doing this on more parts.

Here's my first attempt at Stippling. It took about two hours.
I'll be doing my other ones sometime on my next days off. It was actually kind of Zen like for me but I think I need to choose a better chair to use next time. I just decided to do everything in the dining room with Star Trek TNG going on in the background.
