K Town. Nice job on the AK. Those XTM's look like a gloves only activity. Is it as rough on the hands as is looks?

Whoops, sorry for the late response. I didn't see your post until today.

At first yes, it was extremely rough to the point of causing minor scratches all over the palms of my hands. After a few weeks of handling it the sharp edges have worn down and now it feels perfect. Some days I wish it was sharper but then again I have hands that are so sweaty i can press them against a glass table with full force and slide them around.

After being inspired by this thread and bored I decided to break out the soldering iron. Started with a couple of pmags will probably do moe grip next them may be my lcp and then onto glock.

Someone hide this thing from me.

to you guys who did your glocks; did you sand down the entire grip to remove the raised surface of the grip or do you stipple right over it?

I personally got rid of all the checkering and finger grooves first and only left the Glock logo.

tried out some stippling on my ar15 and i LOVE it. i couldnt imagin using a factory grip again...

i also did my forward vertical grip and trigger guard but did not take any pictures

thoughts, comments?

My father in laws Walther P99. Some tree bark style with traditional on the front grooves.





This is a G19 Gen 4 that I did for a local guy. He wanted the finger grooves smooth. I also undercut the trigger guard and a reference notch.







And yet another G19 for another local guy.

Anyone have any pics of stippled Larue clips? I'd like to get some idea of how it looks and what design to use before I pick up the iron and get to it.

Much easier to do when they're on the rail, of course. They look better if you hit the edges with a file, BTW.
