APEL List Does anyone have a current copy?
I've been all over the net and tried AAFES but I cant find the full list of Approved Protective Eyewear. I'm deploying next year and went shooting today and had a major fog issue with my glasses. I want to find everything on the list and read the reviews. I've allready read many bad reviews concerning fog with the Wiley X SG-1's. I'm going to be catcing alot of heat and humidity to extream cold so I can't afford to deal with goggles that can't handle it.
I've also learned that the goggles are rated to a much higher standard for impact protection vs the glasses.
Thanks

goggles have their place for sure, but you will need both. I dont have the list avail, but every clothing sales has a display with the APEL ones (and usually a list posted as well).
If you go to the manuf sites they will readily ID which ones meet the standard. I have had good luck with the cheap ESSs, and not so cheap Oakley...but everybody is different. You will get them RFI'd when you go, just may not have a choice which ones (unit dependent).

I had problems with the ESS fogging on me. No problems with the Revisions.

OKLEY
I have never worn anything but Oakley. Started off with the M frame but switched to the Z frame. I have there goggles as well. I am very happy with them.

If you really hate fogging, I really liked these when I had them in South Florida.

Not cheap but they never fogged up once.

Every goggle I have ever owned have fogged up on me eventually.
I recommend a Cat Crap treatment cycle.
Greatly reduces fogging issues.
