Thanks for the great info. So is the 16" barrel on the Colt LE6920 SOCOM model not a real SOCOM barrel? It has the medium contour and all the other features you mentioned; just minus the 14.5".

The 16" barrel on the Colt 6920 SOCOM is identical to the military issue M4A1 barrel in every way except 2. #1 The barrel is 16" instead of 14.5, #2 the barrel does not have M203 flats cut under the handguard.
