I picked up a used eotech 552 not too long ago. Noticed it wasnt quite sitting flat on the reciever. It still holds snug, however.
Is this common? I tried installing it on different sections of rail and the problem persists.
Thanks
Derek

We have a mix of over 200 512's and 552's at work on LWRC's and Colts. I've test fired most of them and they are all like this. Some more than others. Had mine on for 3 years without any issue before I noticed it, now it drives me crazy. David
Does it affect your accuracy or is it simply an aesthetic consideration?
Shit. Why on earth did you have to point this out? Now I can't help but notice it on mine.
As long as it doesn't slide, I believe its okay. I had an issue with my XPS where it slid back and forth. I had to put paper in the middle where the optic indeed connects with the picatinny rail to add pressure and stabilize it.
No issues with accuracy that I have seen, but the OCD in me took over once I noticed it. David
It's an eotech. Nuff said....
Reminds me of the guy who pointed out the scratch on my truck that I had never noticed.
I just leave this here...http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Where+can+I+buy+an+Aimpoint%3F
