Nice rifle you have. I don't have the rifle but I do have the rail. While manipulating the switch on the x300 do you have any problems with excess heat on your thumbs?

Hello Jax, I have not noticed it in the slightest.

While this is my first carbine using this light set-up I’ve seen plenty of world-class & other great shooters using this light set-up; Larry Vickers, Kyle Defoor, Jason Falla, Ashley B. from Blue Force Gear, David Pennington, GotM4, SAM, The_Katar, etc. I’ve never heard any of them mention heat being an issue.

Why does everyone run their EOTech so far forward? I have the same sights and my EOTech is as close to the rear sight as possible. I understand if there is a magnifier behind it, but otherwise why not get the largest FOV through the sight as possible by pushing it back?

most of the time is spent looking over the optic scanning for targets/threats, so I would rather not have a large optic up in my face obscuring my field of view. this would also lend to tunnel vision, something I would rather not have.

I was so impressed with Paul's setup I ordered a DDM4 V1 with a lightweight barrel. Similar to the Vickers gun. It should be here next week.

Maybe it was already ask but I missed it. Your DDM4 came with that magazine? Mine came with PMags. If yours didn't I'd highly suggest picking some up and ditching those! BTW I love my DDM4!
