Question Offset quick detach for vtac flashlight

I have the vtac flashlight with mount combo http://www.vikingtactics.com/pop-vtac_surefire_L4.html and i think the flashlight is a rebranded surefire L4 Lumamax.

I wanted to replace the vtac offset mount with a larue quick detach http://www.skdtac.com/LaRue_Flashlig..._p/lrt.104.htm but not sure if one of the rings will fit. This is my first tactical flashlight so don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work. Anyways, someone mentioned the Elzetta mounts on another thread so I have 2 questions.

    1. Does anyone use the larue quick detach with the flashlight i have and if so which ring works and what do you think about the mount itself? I think the 1.04 diameter ring would work but not certain.

    2. If i get the Elzetta which is better, the zorm or zroc? I want to be able to take the light and mount completely off without tools or at the most only require a coin to mount or dismount.

The SF L4 is just under .830" and there is a Larue ring size made just for the E2/L4 sized light. However, while the Larue QD is nice, their flashlight mount sticks WAY OUT away from the rail.

Check out the VLTOR Offset QD mount if you want QD. Tucks in nice and close at 11:00. Your VTAC spacer for the L4 will work as well although not as nice as a dedicated L4 size ring. Check out Danger Close Consulting and Gear Sector for non QD but still very nice L4 sized mounts.

    Dennis.
