That very well may be an option! I had seen a few of his posts regarding the work he did on some wheelguns (his S&W package) and the outcome was very nice indeed!

I've got a pair of his leverguns in the household, and have him working on a Colt 1911 right now. He's a low-profile builder by choice, but one that has earned the confidence of some of the heaviest hitters in the industry. The time that I've spent with him has persuaded me that there is, for me, no need to look elsewhere.

Tag for pics. Blued Colt 1911s are a bit more desireable. Stainless are so-so... never quite as smooth as the blued.

Very cool. Those grips are taking away from the beauty of the pistol in my opinion.... and rubber can trap moisture and cause pitting.

That's a strong $600 purchase. I'd feel pretty good about that one. She's dyin' to lose those grips, though. I need another Colt now...

Oh yeah, that would be very interesting to see! I'm getting ready to send him a J-frame to tune.

    Finally Got to shoot it!!

....Ok, so I finally got to the range, the Colt is a good shooter! It fed reliably, extracted empties and was dead accurate! Only problem was the slide wasn't locking back after the last round was fired? ...of the eight mag loads run through, it only locked back twice!? other than that it ran like a scalded dog!!
