    Ban State Stock Options

Hello, I'm in CT, a ban state and we need our stocks pinned. I have a Colt MT6400c and was wondering what would be some good options besides the long stock it comes with. Someone mentioned a Sully Stock, but I always liked the Magpul CTR's or the MOE. Is this something I could install myself (i'm a noob)? What parts would I need to order? I looked on magpuls sight and there is a mil-spec version and a commercial one... any help appreciated.

jewels, I know your pain as a New Yorker. There are a few places that you can order a stock and have it pinned. Grant from G&R does this I am pretty sure. You will just have to decide which hole to have it pinned in

Same boat here. There are lots of choices. My MT 6400c has a pinned LMT SOPMOD. Just about any stock can be pinned or like you said, Sullys are great stocks themselves.

JOJO's Gunworks in Southington has pinned more stocks in CT than anyone, including all of mine.

JOJO's is where I do all of my business! The CTR seems like a good choice as I could adjust it first then have them pin it. I just start to wonder the things I could get online to save. If there are things I could to myself, I would like to.

You could do it yourself but I don't know how much you would save. If they do it and have an oooopsie, they just grab another one off the shelf. If you do it..

Why would you pin a CTR? Use a MOE and save $40.

Always an option I suppose. I gave up building pre-bans and dumped over a dozen PWAs over the past two years. I don't need a bayonet lug, prefer brakes over hiders anyway and pin my stocks, something I never adjusted anyway, at the length I need.

I like how factory guns run.

They cost much less than built up pre bans especially since so many people like to uh.....maximize their investment....by placing ridiculous prices on lowers. I have no problem with a free economy but up to 1200 bucks for a complete pre ban lower or up to 900 for a stripped? No more.

pardon my "noob-ness", but what are the benefits of buying a "pre-ban"? Wouldn't I still need to pin the stock?

Oh, I thought both models were adjustable and the CTR was more compact? Also, would I order the mil-spec, or commercial one?
