    $550.00 will get you:
"All SBR uppers boast a 5.56 NATO chamber, 1/7 twist rifling, M4 feed ramps, and a MP tested and marked bolt and will ship complete with bolt carrier assembly and charging handle. Individualized options include the choice of a 11.5" Delta profile heavy barrel or a 14.5" Delta profile heavy barrel with M203 cuts - both of which are chrome lined 4150 steel. The 14.5" barrel models are also available with a fixed flash hider bringing the barrel length to 16" and do not require NFA paperwork. "

A quick question since we're talking about MPI.

Aren't all small arms supposed to have parts undergo magnetic partical inspection, or is this procedure unique to the M16FOW?

Or, just get a BCM for that price.

Yep. The lesser manufacturers are now trying to upgrade their product lines to at least resemble "quality" and shockingly, we find out that quality comes with a price tag.

I would go with the one with the sterling reputation, since the price is the same or more for upgrading dreck.

The stag comes with a bolt, bolt carrier, handgaurd's etc. Not trying to strike up an argument, just helping out the op. Also, this is not a new line of stag products, this is overrun of contracts with law enforcement or military. Ive never heard a bad thing about stag, and own one myself. I am very proud of its performance thus far.

In the price range that you are looking for I would go For Spikes Tactical, BCM, or DD. All are great rifles. I own Spikes and BCM and I love BOTH. If I can save my money I might get a DD....one day....

Seems to be that bushmaster is junk on here. yes? So how come my bushmaster upper hasn't fallen apart yet after 5K rounds? Yes I do shoot it more than one round here and there. I have done many mag dumps with it. I have never had a problem with it.

So when will it either blow up in my face or just fall apart?

    MrAmmo,

That is a very good question. You are talking about a sample of one. I not only had 500 of them under my care, but more than a few members here have had the exact same issues with BM.

The issues are well known and have been talked about in detail. If you choose not to accept that, it's your prerogative.
