Curious as to why you would suggest that someone "bottom feed". Didn't even see that the OP suggested this was a desireable option.

I'm with what everyone else is saying. Go with BCM or Daniel Defense. I have been saving to get one and just reading and reading on this site.I'd always rather spend more money to get quality or not have nothing at all.Now if I could just make up my mind on what I want. The longer I wait the more I change my mind.
Originally had my mind made up on a DD M4XV Carbine. Now I want a Mid length which I think totally looks nicer.( and shoots better from what I read)Like the complete rifle from DD with CHF barrel. But now I think I'm starting to go towards a BCM Middy with CHF barrel upper and BCM lower.
If this thread was on the OTHER message board there would be alot of go with a Bushmaster they are the best " I never had a problem with mine" or "dont get the flavor of the month BCM get a Colt!!!"

I'd go BCM upper complete for $540...
Then I go BCM complete lower from Grant if available or...
    LMT complete lower for $330.

Shoot it learn it trick it out if you wanna.

    Smile CMMG

Was responding to earlier posts suggesting that Bushmaster and Stag were, to quote, "subpar." I can't speak to that, but I can attest that CMMG delivers a great product, at a price below what he'd pay for a Bushmaster or a Stag. So, if his intent is to come in at or below the Bushmaster/Stag price points, he may as well consider the CMMG Bargain Bin, which -- IMHO -- delivers exactly that.

Spikes Lower from AIM Surplus ($80+FFL) + MOE lower build kit from Palmetto Armory ($149) + whatever upper you want. Really hard to beat this price to build a complete lower.

Please elaborate on your criteria for attestation. I have no experience with CMMG and I am quite curious.

    KISS

KISS w/1:9 for 55/62g, snug upper/lower fit, relatively fast zero at 25m, decent groups out to 100, maybe more. Also, mine arrived looking "new" -- couldn't find a scratch, dent, or flaw -- and she has worked flawlessly through her first 500 rounds. So far, no complaints. Call her a "truck gun" or not, I like her.
