Black dog for me but I have not tried the CMMG mags.

I have BDs and CMMGs and both work great. My CMMGs don't always drop free from the mag well, but I'm told if you file the 2 little nubs off the rear of the magazine they fall right out. Haven't tried it yet but plan to.

I have both, but I prefer the Black Dog mags in smoke. I dont have any problems out of either of the brands. You can see your round count in the smoke BD mags, and they seem to fit a little better.

    black dog here as well...

plus the new batches have the bolt hold open followers (though I don't know how long they've had them this way)

2 of my 6 BDM mags have cracked feed lips. The material appears to be too brittle.

None of my 10 CMMG had that problem.

The BDM's are semi see through. You can see how many rounds are left in the mag. The CMMG's are not.
I do believe the BDM are made of a more brittle material. I've never broken one. But you cannot use any sort of harsh gun cleaner on them. It will eat the mag.
CMMG's have small nubs on the back rib of the mag that are designed to be filed for a perfect fit in the magwell.
In the near future, CMMG mags will be made of a tougher polymer and will be black in color I'm told.

Curious. Are the two mags with the cracked feed lips still working or are the mags malfunctioning due to the cracks. So far I have not had any negative issues with my BDM mags. I do have a 50 round drum from them that does not work that well however.

I have not tried the CMMG mags but do have BDM mags purchased 2 years ago. They run fine and I have had no issues with them in my original CMMG conversion kit, which is not SS.

In all, I probably have around 5,000 rounds spread evenly between 3 mags.
