Will Arsenal Ever Make The SLR In 5.45...?

That is the one I really, really, really want.

The 74M. Seems like it should be no trouble for Arsenal (or maybe even Saiga) to produce a semi model. Seems like they offer everything EXCEPT that model.

Seems to me if they made one, priced in the same range as the 7.62s and 5.56s SLRs, they should sell a ton of them. I know I'd buy one in every color.

So what is the reason they don't offer it?

    They did.

The Aresenal Inc. SLR-105 (post ban) and SLR-105 A1.

If you're talking about making one with a folding stock unit like the SLR-106 and 107 series.....

Highly doubt it but I gave up trying to guess what Arsenal Inc. was going to do a long time ago.

I love my SLR-105A1 but if Arsenal came out with a 105CR model I'd buy one and SBR it in a heartbeat!

I'd like a 104UR factory krink like Arsenal had on display at Shot 2009. They seem to consistently misjudge the market.

    Cheers

I don't think they misjudge the market. I think it's a matter of not being able to get the parts kits and barrels needed to build complete, quality rifles. With all the restrictions on parts kits and barrels now it is virtually impossible to get units built.

That said, let me state for the record in case anyone from Arsenal is listening, if they have the parts to make a SLR-105CR I will buy one if they make them

I bought my SLR-105R for $450, actually it was more like free for me cause I sold a used Mini-14 and bought the SLR with the funds. I have since swaped FSBs and put the correct length stock on mine. I too wished Arsenal would offer these as a AK-74M clone.

I have a 105 in the safe and I got tired of waiting for Arsenal to make a folding stock version. So I found the parts I would need to build one.

I have asked this same question for at least 3 years now. It seems like a no brainer. But it's hard to figure out some companies. I have no idea why Honda sells Type Rs in various configurations everywhere but here. We're a nation of car nuts, why wouldn't we want them too?

I posted this is another thread, but thought I'd share here...

I was surprised to see one of these on the wall on the local gun store today as I had not heard that Arsenal had released a new model. It is the SGL32 in 5.45mm. I don't see it on the Arsenal website, but here it is at KVAR. It is a 5.45mm rifle with the AK100 series combination front sight block and SLR107CR type removable muzzle device.

I'm disappointed that this is coming with a fixed stock though. It is really begging for a polymer folder like the SLR107CR...still, I hope this is a sign of things to come from Arsenal.

I don't know much about the SLRs or Arsenal, but is this close?
