Had some scrap pallets laying around at work. Cut off a chunk, bolted that to the wall, then sunk some two inch screws about half way into the board - enough that it wouldn't bend when putting force on it with my hand, but out far enough that it could still go in the QD socket. Just make sure the diameter of the screw head is small enough for the QD... and thats about it.

Here's my ugly, featureless in California carbine.
Not a big fan of the stock on a gun that's supposed to be short and light, it adds about half a pound compared to the MFT Minimalist and is pretty much the same length as a typical collapsible stock fully extended. Works ok off a bench, less well when moving around. However, otherwise I need a bullet button and can't use any magazines over 10 rounds (which are legal to possess but not to manufacture/import/sell/give), so I'm trying to see if I can get used to it.

Thanks Jax. I took a break while I went through graduate school. I'm graduating in two weeks so I'm trying to get something like a normal life started back up.
