So far my favorite configuration, the placement of the WML with the Thorntail Mount then backed by the handstop makes for a natural yet solid grip on the DDV1.
I was afraid at first that I would not like the High Rise KAC mount. After actually shooting with NOD then without I have found the mount actually sits the T-1 in a position where I am comfortable looking through the optic while still maintaining my normal cheek weld. It also allows added space for me to get behind when wearing bigger ear protection cups.
In terms of the mount maintaining 0, this is still being tested but so far it has maintained 0. I zeroed the optic on the KAC mount then shot about 250-300 rounds. I took the optic and mount off and put it onto my 870 just to QA the mount and T-1. I shot 4 rounds and returned the optic to my V1. The setup maintained 0 for another 200 or so.(until I left the range) Besides maybe changing to a A5 system, I think my V1 is staying this way, it only took 11 months of constant trial and error to find that
