So now I'm down to only two 'serious' use ARs and this one is this 'gamer' one, but it would work just fine if pressed into 'real' work. Its kind of a mutt, RRA lower, LMT LPK (2 stage trigger, the only one I own), BCM upper & bolt carrier, FN surplus bolt, Magpul ACS, used Sabre barrel and FF tube. I got a pretty good deal on the PWS brake, and the optics are a Trijicon TR24g (LaRue mount) and 8moa Trijicon RMR on a Daniel Defense One O'clock offset mount. The grip is a Magpul MIAD and I'm using a Phase Five one piece extended bolt release.

This thing is a laser beam considering that its mostly a mishmash of used parts. Even with .mil M193 and the 1:7 twist I can hold 1.5 minute of anger pretty easily. With a true rest or sand bag(s) I'm sure I can get it down to MOA and perhaps better with custom loads. I'm pretty impressed, despite the medium barrel profile. The only modification I made is that the Sabre barrel (despite being marked 5.56) had a .223 chamber and I reamed it to 5.56 dimensions (it would not close on a 5.56 go gauge in Sully's Armorers class). Off the bench I can still hold a 2" group at 50yds with that RMR. I'll get some shots/video of me running this one soon.

Bowser: is that the range just north of phoenix? I believe that I've been there.

I like what you added to it. With the stock and the heat shields, how much did it run you as opposed to the DDM4?

It really comes to about $130 less (with Magpul stuff) than a DDM4. GB has some decent deals, and I suppose the long rail is worth the difference.

Yes - could have picked up an EZ or XVM for what I ended up after the furniture, but...

I do like the MOE and CTR. Stock is rock solid - picked it up from a member here for a good price. Grip is very nice, and I really like the forend - if I want to add a sling swivel or light, its fine, and it handles nicely - no need for covers, etc. You can put your hand all the way forward and not touch he front sight.

Never used a sling but want to consider that. When in a unit, I was shooting 120mm, and the last time I carried an AR for a purpose, you didn't think about a sling. But... that's another thread.

    Finally some Pics

My new SR-15E3 w/Vortex Razor 1-4 EBR556. I put a Magpul Grip on her and MS2 sling. I hope to add a Battlecomp this week and receive my Harris BRM-S combo from LaRue.

The second is my Colt 6920. I have a Magpul Grip, Vltor E-Mod, Battlecomp, Troy BUIS and a EoTech 512. I would like to put a DD RIS on her in the future, but for now she's good enough.
